VBS 2007

by Michael Gilbert

What a great week! VBS was outstanding! Our teachers did an exemplary job teaching the young people…rooms were beautifully decorated, kids were excited, Jesus was taught…what could be better?!!

A big thank-you goes out to all those who participated in our VBS this year. Many worked “publicly” by teaching a class, while others worked “privately” by supplying and serving food and refreshments each night, tracking attendance, ringing bells, organizing the whole event, etc. You are special in God’s eyes…don’t ever forget that!

We are grateful for Dotson St. and Avery congregations that supported us so well throughout the week….we had a chance to return the favor to Dotson St. yesterday at their fellowship in the city park. Also, Avery will have a VBS Saturday, details on the board. We look forward to attending their VBS.

Saving souls…our main priority. The whole reason we put on the VBS, Gospel meetings, etc. is to glorify God by saving souls. One soul is worth more than the whole world…Jesus said, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mt. 16:26).

Keep up the great work!
